2016 Domestic Violence Shelter Grant Program

Eligibility: Domestic violence shelters with 501(c)(3) status offering emergency shelter

Deadline: Submissions will be accepted from January 15 to April 30

Funding Available: Approximately $3 million for 150 awards up to $20,000 each (at least one domestic violence shelter in every state usually receives an award; the remainder usually is distributed via formula based on state population) 

Description: Each year, the Mary Kay Foundation observes National Domestic Violence Awareness Month (October) by awarding grants to deserving women’s domestic violence shelters in the United States. The 2016 funds may be used for operating budgets for domestic violence shelters, with the exception of staff travel.
