Enhanced Training and Services to End Abuse in Later Life Program

Eligibility: State and local governments and nonprofits 

 

Funding Available: $3 million for eight awards; up to $400,000 each

 

Description: The program funds comprehensive approaches to address elder abuse of those 50 years and older. A comprehensive program includes: training for criminal justice professionals, governmental agency staff and victim assistants; cross-training opportunities for professionals working with older victims; coordinated community response; and supportive services. Those helping older victims from underserved populations receive preference, particularly those focusing on minorities, tribes, the disabled and LGBT communities.
