Humanities Initiatives at Community Colleges

Description: The program supports community colleges’ commitment to educating students on a variety of educational and career paths. It funds curricular and faculty development projects that help strengthen humanities programs and incorporate humanistic approaches in fields outside the humanities.

Each project must: be organized around a core topic or set of themes, drawn from subjects such as history, philosophy and literature; and incorporate a broader institutional vision for the humanities at a community college.

Funding Available: Multiple awards up to $100,000 each

Eligibility: State, tribal and local governments, public and private colleges and universities and nonprofits

Deadline: January 12, 2017
