National Alliance for Grieving Children

Grief Reach Program-Community Expansion Grants

 

Deadline: July 31, 2015

 

Eligibility: To be eligible, organizations must be considered tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

 

Funding Available: up to $100,000

 

Description: The National Alliance for Grieving Children is accepting applications from local child bereavement organizations for programs that bring grief support services to youth from ethnically diverse or low-income communities not served by existing bereavement programs. Fifty percent of the children served must be from low-income families or from minority communities. The projects must be an expansion of services to children not currently served by the program. Projects need to have a direct impact on children. For example, educating the community is not enough unless it ties directly into serving children. Collaborations are strongly encouraged.
